At Miremby, we believe travel should be more than just ticking off sights. It should move you, challenge you, and connect you—to people, to nature, and most of all, to yourself. That’s why we chose the name Miremby—it means to search for something that brings you happiness. And that’s exactly what we invite you to do.
We don’t offer ordinary holidays. We create meaningful journeys in Madagascar, led by local communities and shaped by stories that often go unheard. Our trips are designed not just to show you beautiful places, but to help you feel something real—joy, understanding, awe.
Founded by Bethany, a conservationist turned ethical travel advocate, and Tsiraiky, a Malagasy guide with deep roots and a gift for storytelling, Miremby is built on love—for people, for place, and for purpose.
So what is it like to travel with Miremby?
It’s waking up to the sound of the sea in a quiet fishing village. It’s learning to weave with Bahery and Sonimeny in Sainte Luce, or making jewellery with Hery in Fort Dauphin. It’s sharing a barbecue on a private beach in Lokaro, prepared over open flame by Tatah, a local who dreams of building bungalows that blend into the landscape.
It’s also walking through forests with guides who know every call, every track, every tree. Watching lemurs leap at dusk, or spotting chameleons no one else would notice. And hearing directly from the people who live and breathe conservation every day—not as a job, but as a way of life.
This is travel that’s personal. Travel that gives back.
We do things differently
Each itinerary is handcrafted, and no two experiences are the same. Whether you’re joining our 14-day journey around Fort Dauphin or venturing further afield, your trip supports small-scale enterprises, local artisans, and conservation efforts on the ground.
Through the Miremby Foundation, part of every tour fee goes back to the communities you visit. They decide how it’s used—whether that’s helping a student like Clarcine stay in school, fixing the roof of a village classroom, or supporting local fishermen with safety equipment. You’re not just visiting—you’re part of something.
Why choose Miremby?
Because you’re not just looking for a holiday. You’re searching for something that brings you happiness.
Whether that’s meaningful connection, wild beauty, or a deeper understanding of the world around you—that’s what we’re here for.
